FALL 16 RUSH 

 

Rush is the process of joining a fraternity and here at FDU, it occurs for two weeks at the beginning of each semester. During this weeks, brothers and rushes engage in numerous fun activities so we can assess whether a rushee’s personality fits ours chapter, and whether the chapter’s personality fits the rushee. Sigma Chi seeks well-rounded, ambitious, and dedicated gentlemen who are congenial in their interactions with others. Furthermore, we are looking for brothers who are willing to give up their time for a larger cause as they learn our ideals through the pledge process, and join an extremely strong brotherhood at our chapter and throughout the world. Sigma Chi is one of the largest fraternities on the planet, with 240+ undergraduate chapters and over 220,000 living alumni.

 

By joining Sigma Chi, you will make friendships that last a lifetime. Through our pledge process, individuals are united together to adhere to a larger, common cause. This fosters an atmosphere where leadership, communication, conflict management and interpersonal skills are demanded. Out of this need springs learning, adapting and personal growth. Fraternity life, above all the many other benefits it offers, gives you practice for life in the real world.

 

Another fraternal misconception we are proud to eradicate is that of recruiting typical “frat bros.” While some of our members sought membership in Greek Life when coming to FDU, others never thought they would be a part of a fraternity until they rushed Sigma Chi. We take pride in eliminating fraternal stereotypes by focusing on the values of friendship, justice, and learning, and recruiting men of varying temperaments.
